Here is a 135 ft. Length of vintage 7/8 diameter natural fiber rope, as pictured. I don't know if it is actually hemp, or manila, or sisal, or what, but it's typical natural fiber rope.
This rope was hanging in his barn. I washed and scrubbed this rope with water and a bristle brush. It was more work than I'll ever do again to wash an old rope.I think it is as clean as a dusty old rope can possibly be. This rope is not too stiff at all. It has a lot of natural pliability. There are a few black spots of what I assume is tar. It's not serious, but it's something you need to know. A Note About Color: The first pictures in this listing were taken in the sun and show the rope as more of an orange color than it actually is. The last 3 photos were taken in the shade and are closer to the actual color of the rope, though even those photos are not true to color. It has what I would describe as an old rope smell.
You have to get your nose up close to get the smell. The packaged weight of this rope is 23 pounds. It is a very nice vintage specimen. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Tools, Hardware & Locks\Tools\Pulleys, Block & Tackle". The seller is "farmbeet" and is located in this country: US.
