BEAUTIFUL Vintage 1886 Porter Wood Beam Hay Trolley Barn Farm Carrier Pulley

This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Porter wood beam hay trolley made and patented in 1886! Wood beam trolleys were the earliest of all hay trolleys, which were replaced by the steel track varieties in the early 1900's. The trolley has been completely cleaned of all dirt/rust to reveal an amazing dark chocolate natural patina, and is protected with a light coating of oil. This Porter is in excellent condition as all of the rollers, pulleys, locking mechanisms, etc work perfectly and smoothly, with the exception of a small missing part (see MISSING PART info below). It measures 14" long, 6-1/2" wide, 23 tall with the drop pulley installed and engaged, and weighs around 22 pounds.

If you are looking for a clean, authentic, rustic looking hay trolley without any paint, coatings, artificial patinas, etc.... MISSING PART: The trolley is missing a plate that locks the drop pulley locking arm. This part could simply be replaced with a rectangular piece cut from metal or plastic, and would never be seen from someone viewing the trolley in it's display. This fix would lock the pulley in place just as if the original part was there.

There are probably a dozen other ways to do this too, so unless you are a hard core collector and want the trolley to be perfect then the missing part shouldn't be an issue. This trolley DOES NOT come with the rope or track. However, I have 100's of feet of track and could cut you a piece of track, with hanging hooks, to your desired length if you are interested.
