Antique Myers Bro Ok Unloader Cast Iron Hay Trolley & Fork Steampunk Farm Tool
We are pleased to offer you this antique The F. Unloader with hay fork all in cast iron built around 1900 in Ashland, Oregon.
This very primitive yet very steampunk farm tool has all sorts of pulleys/hoists/carriers and wheels, and I have not found any with with a hay grapple included. I think it is Unloader number H527, but I also find other numbers on the hoist like H321, N25, and H258 on some of the wheels. The pulley system was photographed upside down, which was the only way we could hang it up for you to get an idea of how it works.
Overall size of the hay fork is 36" tall, 42" long and 19 wide, and it somewhere around 35 pounds. Overall size of the trolley/hoist/carrier is 20" long, 8" wide and 11 high, and it weighs somewhere around 26 pounds. Can be used on a 4X4 wood beam. Hay trolleys are a great representation of early life on the farm and are very collectible. Condition: Both the pulley and the fork work and all wheels turn; some rust present but this was a well cared for item (the rust in the flash photos is very over exaggerated), no cracks, chips or repairs that I could see.
