Antique Clipper Belt Lacer, Vintage Farm Equipment
This antique Clipper Belt Lacer is a true barn find, it was found in an old dairy farm that was due to be demolished and the splicer was found under a pile of old boards up in the hay loft. It was used to mend belts for old farm equipment, hit and miss engine belts and other contraptions.

Clipper still makes belt lacers today, and they supply staples. You could still use a belt lacer today. Let's say you wife went crazy (as mine often does) and she sliced all the way through the walking belt on your treadmill with a butcher knife, rather than replace the belt you could splice it back together with the Clipper Belt Lacer, it would look just like the belt at the supermarket checkout stand.

It may be fully functional, but I just do not know for sure. I do know one thing; it says "Oil Often" right on the face of this contraption, but it looks as though it has not been oiled in a long long time.
