Once we get a hay trolley into the shop we typically begin a time-consuming process of disassembly, cleaning, lubing, and preserving the trolley. There was no need for any of that with this simply outstanding LOUDEN ADJUSTABLE CARRY ALL hay trolley, made in Fairfield, Iowa. It came out of a weather-tight, pigeon-proof barn as witnessed by its clean and fully functional state. We literally just dusted it off. Everything works as it should.

We can find no damage, and are confident you could put it right back to work if that's what you have in mind. If you just want it for display, you could leave it as is, or gently remove some of its rusty patina to reveal more of its original silver paint -- there's plenty of it still there. We thought serious collectors would want it in its original state, so you may find some light dirt here and there -- easy to clean off if you wish. There are no breaks, cracks, or welds to its cast-iron components.

Even the iron collar for the end of the rope is still there (see closeup photos). In the photos we rotated the trolley and shot it from all sides and angles to give you a complete look at its condition. THIS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST HAY TROLLEYS OUT THERE, WEIGHING IN AT A MASSIVE 58.5 POUNDS. Its rope sheave pulley measures an impressive 8 in diameter.
