Eagle Hay Carrier Trolley Appleton WI Cast Iron Barn Pulley 1883 Shield

Beautifully refinished Eagle Manufacturing Company hay carrier, referred to as "Old Reliable" in the original factory catalog or "Eagle Shield" to collectors. This was carefully disassembled and cleaned piece by piece before paint and reassembly. This is not the traditional color scheme of black and gold as is often seen, instead it was given a simple coat of gray with silver highlights.

New hard maple sheaves were lathe turned to replace those that had rot and damage. This is a complete setup that could be put back to use if so desired. This listing includes the carrier, pulley and original trip lift bar to hold the trunk closed when the pulley is in place. Carrier measures appx 19" x 21" x 6. An amazing piece ready to be added to your collection or display.
