Salvaged from the Mayor J. Harold Grady, Baltimore, Maryland Fireboat. Featured in Season 10, Episode 8 of the DiY Network Program, "Salvage Dawgs". Block & Tackle Set: 2 Pulleys & Rope. Salvaged from the 1960 Baltimore, Maryland, fireboat, the Mayor J. Harold Grady, this Block & Tackle Set was in use from 1961 to 2007. The Mayor J Harold Grady was a 6000 GPM (gallon per minute) fireboat built in 1960, serving Baltimore, Maryland, from 1961 until it was decommissioned in 2007. This fireboat and items from it are featured on Season 10, Episode 8, of the Diy Network show, "Salvage Dawgs". This block and tackle set is comprised of 2 double sheave pulleys and a roughly 100' long length of braided manila rope. The blocks have metal sheaves encased in oak cheeks with shackle connections. One block measures 4 1/2"(L) x 4 3/4"(W) x 6 1/4"(H), the other is 4 1/2"(L) x 4 1/2"(W) x 6"(H). The 3/4 thick rope has been well preserved. One end is looped around a thimble at the bottom of one of the blocks, the other end is loose. A separate short length of rope with a forged hook on one end and a loop on the other is included.
